Back Story:
The brief for this project required me to design an NACS (October 2012) trade show booth for CBX showcasing retail design. The three design directions are based on either CBX’s office ambiance or their new branding standards. I worked with an interior designer, Sabrina Weingarten, who made the renders in Sketch-Up and then I applied the graphics and finishes in Adobe Photoshop.
Concept 1
NACS Concept 1: A Closer Look Into CBX
This concept was based on some of the current design elements of the CBX studio in NYC: Chalkboards, exposed brick and brushed metal.

NACS Concept 2: CBX Branding Comes to Life
This concept was based on the branding standards of CBX; helvetica neue bold font, bold colors and sleek black to make the colors pop.

NACS Concept 3: We Design Cool Spaces (right)
This concept was based on creating an engaging space for people to walk through by means of creating an optical illusion. Depending on the angle you viewed the booth, you'd see a different CBX message. This angle allows you to see the CBX logo.

This was the direction that was chosen to move forward.

Here we see the panels disappear so that you can see the "We design cool spaces" message appear on the back wall. The back wall has a collage of interior retail designs that are all designed by CBX (ex: Duane Reade).

Here we see the panels from the left also continue to the convery the message "We design cool spaces" as well as the CBX logo.

This was the direction that was chosen to move forward.
